Hillcrest Animal Hospital is proud to serve Poplar Bluff, MO and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medical care along with friendly, compassionate service.

We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet and giving them the same loving attention and care. We are a group of highly trained and experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.

Our ambulatory trucks have been on the road providing on-farm care to animals across a 9-county region, including Arkansas, since 2016. And now, you can bring the animal to us for care in our safe, secure, custom designed large animal facility, no matter the weather.

At Hillcrest we take great pride in being able to accommodate our patients, both small and large, in nearly any situation.

Dr. Kathryn Bell, co-owner, graduated from Veterinary School at the University of Missouri in 2014 and exclusively attends to small animal patients. Veterinary medicine is her passion. She is especially good at helping itchy patients, is excited to utilize her exceptional surgical skills when appropriate, and most recently is becoming certified in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Mason Bell, co-owner, graduated from Veterinary School at the University of Missouri in 2014 and mostly practices large animal medicine. Chances are, if you have a cow, horse, or other livestock in need of routine or urgent care, he will be the one to help. The haul-in facility was Dr. Mason’s brainchild and he would be delighted to give you a tour.

Dr. Katelyn Garner, associate veterinarian, also graduated from Veterinary School at the University of Missouri in 2020. Originally from Tennessee, her family has settled nicely into Poplar Bluff. She enjoys exploring the areas many landmarks with her family. At work she is eager to help patients in need, whether it be a simple or complex case.

Dr. Rachel Chall, associate veterinarian, graduated from Veterinary School at Kansas State University in 2020, also with a master’s degree in public health. She enjoys having many pets, like dogs, cats, and chinchillas, and hobbies like restoring furniture. Not only does Dr. Chall attend to small pets and furry exotics, but also she is ready and able to help large animals.

Dr. Bailey Faris is a 2022 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a native of neighboring Wayne County and is excited to be back home sharing her new skills with our community. Dr. Bailey is eager to do whatever it takes to help patients and clients in need and especially enjoys working with equine patients.
